High Physical Support Living Designed Around Independence

5 Riverlily Circuit, Bohle Plains is a purpose-built 3-participant High Physical Support SDA home designed to make everyday living more accessible, comfortable and manageable.

The single-storey home brings together three participant bedrooms, multiple accessible bathroom facilities, a spacious central living and meals area, an accessible kitchen, dedicated laundry, outdoor patio and separate Overnight On-Call room.

Accessibility is integrated throughout the home, with step-free movement, wide circulation areas, accessible controls, provision for future ceiling hoists, assistive technology infrastructure and emergency power provisions. The result is a home that supports greater independence while giving SIL providers a practical environment for delivering assistance when required.

Space to Live, Connect and Unwind

A Generous Central Living Area for Everyday Life

The living and meals area forms the social centre of the home, creating a generous shared space for relaxing, dining, entertaining visitors and spending time together.

Its open connection with the kitchen makes everyday routines feel more natural and keeps the main communal areas easy to navigate. Clear circulation space supports participants using mobility equipment without making the room feel clinical or institutional.

Dimmable lighting in living and bedroom areas, together with consistently positioned switches and power points, adds another layer of everyday convenience.

Bedrooms That Put Participants First

Personal Space With Accessibility Built In

The home provides three participant bedrooms, each designed to accommodate the circulation required for High Physical Support living.

Generous space around the bed helps make movement, transfers and personal assistance easier, while dedicated robe storage gives each participant a defined place for personal belongings.

The structure also provides for the future installation of a constant-charge ceiling hoist with a minimum 250 kg load capacity. This allows the home to adapt to participants who may require additional transfer assistance while supporting longer-term housing stability.

Each bedroom remains a clearly defined personal space, helping participants maintain privacy and their own everyday routines within the shared home.

Bathrooms Made for Easier Routines

Accessible Personal Care Without a Clinical Feel

Multiple bathroom facilities are positioned throughout the participant area, helping support privacy and more efficient daily routines.

Accessible layouts provide the circulation needed for wheelchair use and assisted personal care, with step-free shower areas, slip-resistant flooring, accessible basin and toilet arrangements, and reinforced walls within sanitary areas.

These features support both independent use and assistance from support workers while maintaining a comfortable residential environment.

A Kitchen Designed for Participation

Accessible Features That Support Everyday Independence

The kitchen connects directly with the main living and dining area, making it easy for participants to remain involved in cooking, meals and other everyday activities.

The High Physical Support kitchen includes accessible circulation around benches and appliances, accessible work areas, suitable cabinetry mechanisms and a wheelchair-accessible pantry.

A height-adjustable benchtop provides additional flexibility for participants with different access requirements, while appropriately positioned controls and fixtures make regular kitchen tasks easier to manage.

Rather than separating participants from everyday household activity, the kitchen is designed to encourage involvement and independence.

Overnight Support With Clear Separation

A Dedicated OOA Space Near the Front of the Home

A separate Overnight On-Call room provides a dedicated space for overnight support when required.

Positioned toward the front of the home and away from the main participant bedrooms and communal living area, the OOA arrangement helps maintain a clear distinction between participant and staff spaces.

For participants, this means support can remain nearby without unnecessarily affecting privacy. For SIL providers, it provides a practical base for overnight assistance within the home.

More Room to Enjoy the Outdoors

An Accessible Patio Connected to the Living Area

The outdoor patio extends directly from the main living space, creating an additional area for relaxing, dining outdoors or spending time with visitors.

Accessible movement between indoor and outdoor spaces helps participants make greater use of the whole property rather than being limited to the interior of the home.

The covered entry, patio connection and straightforward single-storey layout also make everyday circulation around the property simpler and more practical.
